Overspray Chalet
A brand-new custom home a short walk from South Beach in Point Roberts. Timber beams, a floating staircase, concrete floors and a rooftop deck with turf lounge, sun loungers and views over the rooftops to the water and the islands. Two king bedrooms, a bunk room the kids will claim, three bathrooms including a steam shower, a bocce court out front. Sleeps 8, made for two families. Minutes from the border, under an hour from Vancouver.
Built by a custom home builder, this home is a labor of love. Douglas fir beams run the length of the open-plan main floor, the staircase floats, the floors are concrete and the kitchen island is one long slab of white concrete under glass pendants. Finished in 2026, you may well be among the first guests to stay.
The main floor is one big room: a deep sectional sofa for movie nights, a round dining table, a reading chair by the window, and a kitchen with a full-size fridge, dishwasher, wall oven, microwave, a beverage fridge, Keurig and kettle. The coffee station looks straight out over the neighborhood toward the water.
Upstairs, the king suite opens onto the rooftop deck through sliding glass doors: artificial turf underfoot, a sectional lounge, two sun loungers and the sea and the islands on the horizon. Sunsets happen up here. The bunk room has custom-built bunks with four double beds, a curved sofa, and windows on two sides with water views; kids disappear into it and only come out for food. A landing with a second beverage fridge sits between the two rooms. Downstairs, a second king bedroom and a bathroom with a walk-in steam shower give the second family, or the grandparents, their own quiet corner.
Outside there is a bocce court on the turf, a paved side patio with a BBQ and gravel parking for several cars. A bike, a beach wagon, beach umbrella and chairs are provided for guests, with a quick equipment acknowledgment at check-in. South Beach is a short walk: at low tide the hard sand flats stretch out for a long, easy beach walk, herons work the tideline, eagles sit in the snags, and the sun sets over the islands. Lily Point Marine Park with its bluff trails and tide pools is a few minutes east, Lighthouse Park with its orca lookout is a few minutes west, and the marina, the golf course and the grocery store are all a short drive. If you want warm, calm swimming water, Maple Beach on the Boundary Bay side of the Point is ten minutes away by car.

Behind the scenes, the home is cared for by STAY49, a small local team based right here in Point Roberts. Message us anytime and a real local person answers, day or night.
Good to know: the house sits in a quiet residential neighborhood, not on the beach itself. South Beach is a short walk; the rooftop deck and upstairs bedrooms have water views over the neighboring rooftops. Point Roberts is reached by road through Canada: from Vancouver you cross at the Boundary Bay border, minutes from the house. Coming from the US mainland you cross the border twice, so everyone needs a passport.
